Terms & Conditions
Any use of the terms “AS”, “we”, “us”, “our” and “website” refer to the Australian registered business “Absent Society” (ABN 7357 3027 552).
Upon entering and using this website, you give authorisation to the use and disclosure of your personal information and that all data provided by yourself is accurate and up to date. You are also responsible for maintaining and updating any account information for accuracy purposes.
We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of our customers and visitors, such as yourself. Being customers and online shoppers, the AS team are fully aware and understanding of the trust between consumers and enterprises. We, therefore, acknowledge and respect the seriousness of information privacy and maximum security on the Internet.
Returns & Exchanges - Please ensure you are aware of our full terms and conditions.
Returns are available for all full-priced items only (unless otherwise stated). Items must be posted within 14 days of receiving your order and any received thereafter may be denied.
In accordance with Australian Consumer Law, we are not required to offer you a refund for sizing, fit or change of mind on returns. For example, the consumer guarantees do not apply if you got what you asked for but simply changed your mind, found it cheaper somewhere else, decided you did not like the purchase or had no use for it.
Goods that are not acceptable for returns, refund or exchange are:
- Sales items and clearance items
- Change of heart decisions
Items must be returned in their original condition including plastic sleeves, tags and sanitary labels. Once we have received your returned package, all returned items will be inspected before a refund is issued. Absent Society reserves the right to deny returned item/s if they are returned used, worn, damaged or have any form of perfumes or scents on the fabric. Refused return items will be returned to sender. An email will be sent out if your returned item is not suitable for a refund.
The cost of return shipping is at the customer’s expense and is non-refundable. Absent Society is not liable for lost goods in the mail and may not issue the refund to you so we suggest return items to be posted through a traceable mail to avoid such situations. Absent Society will not issue a refund on item(s) that are not received or are lost in transit.
If refunding an item from overseas, it is the responsibility of the customer to inquire about the cost of return shipping from their location back to Australia. Supposed related fees will in no way be covered by Absent Society. For further information, please contact our customer care team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Allow 5 business days for a refund to be processed from the arrival of your goods received by Absent Society. An email confirmation will be sent out to your listed email confirming your refund approval and a refund will be issued back to the platform you originally used to pay for the goods.
It should be noted that all customers should first contact email@example.com prior to returning any items to Absent Society in order to organise alternative arrangements if necessary. If this is not done prior to your return being sent back, any issues which may arise with refunds to the original account are completely out of our control and Absent Society will not be held accountable.
A downloadable copy of a Return Form is available here. Please attach a filled out copy along with your returning good(s).
If you were shipped goods that are not what you ordered or there happens to be a faulty item in your order upon arrival, notify the Absent Society team immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org with your order number and describe which item is incorrect or faulty. Absent Society will send out the correct item upon receiving proof that you have returned the faulty or wrong item back to us. Shipping is non-refundable except in cases where we may be at fault.
If you require a replacement size and/or colour, you are required fill out the Return Form here and post that item back to us. Postage will be at your expense. You are then required to place a new order. Returned item(s) will need to be cleared of any damages, stains and scents before we can release your new order out to you. If you wish you exchange your purchase for a different product altogether, we will move forward by treating this as a returns and you are then required to place a new order.
Intellectual Property, Software and Content
The intellectual property rights in all software and content made available to you on or through this website remains the property of AS or its licensors. All such rights are reserved by AS and its licensors. For personal use only, storing, printing and displaying content may be permitted. You are not permitted to publish, manipulate, distribute or otherwise reproduce, in any format, any of the content or copies of the content supplied to you or which appears on this website nor may you use any such content in connection with any business or commercial enterprise.
You must provide us with genuine and accurate registration information. You must keep your username and password confidential, and we have the right to assume that anyone using that username and password is you.
AS reserves the right to terminate accounts if you are seen to be using proxy IPs (Internet Protocol addresses) in order to attempt to hide the use of multiple accounts or disrupt any of our services in any way. Action may be taken against all your accounts if you are caught using multiple accounts to purposely disturb the website.
We advise you to sign out of all personal accounts on AS or any other service that needs your login details on public computers, accessible phone and/or tablet devices after use. Otherwise, people may have access to your AS account(s) and AS will have no control over your personal information and details and are therefore not liable to the consequences. We advise you to firmly make sure you log out of all services when you terminate use of a public computer, accessible phone and/or tablet.
You should protect your personal web devices with a password, and if your device is stolen or lost, use remote wipe facilities, if possible, to erase all personal information on your device and change the password(s) for your AS account(s).
Terms of Sale
Dispatch times may vary according to availability and any guarantees or representations made in accordance with delivery times can be limited. Subject to any delays resulting from postal delays or uncontrollable incidents will not hold us liable or responsible.
The following conditions must be met in order to contract with Absent Society: You must be 18 years of age and over and own a valid credit or debit card issued by a bank acceptable to us OR have granted permission from a guardian to use a valid credit or debit card issued by a bank acceptable to us. Absent Society retains the right to refuse any order made by you.
All details provided by you when placing an order will be true and accurate and that you are the honest authorised user of the credit and debit card or that you have been granted legal permission by the owner of the credit and debit card to be used to place your order. You also undertake that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of goods being purchased.
Foreign goods and services may fluctuate in price. All costs advertised are subject to such changes.
When you place an order, you will receive an acknowledgement email confirming receipt of your order. This email alone will not constitute acceptance of your order. Your payment first has to be approved and processed by our billing agent before there is a contract between you and Absent Society for the purchase of goods.
The issuer of your credit or debit card may charge currency conversion or other fees in relation to your order. You should check with the issuer of your credit or debit card for details of any such fees.
*You are responsible for any additional customs taxes/ fees that may occur when your order enters an international country. Each country has different laws regarding customs and customs taxes.

AS makes no guarantees or representations about the accuracy or the completeness of this content, the content of any site linked to this site, contributors, information or any other items or sites linked to this site. We assume no liability or responsibility for errors or inaccuracies of content and materials. We take no responsibility to property damage resulting from your access to the use of the website, any interruption or down-time on the website and any bugs, viruses or the like that could be transmitted through the website.
AS is in no way liable to any third party for indirect, ensuing, incidental, special or disciplinary damages, including a decrease in profit from your use of the website or social media, or any branded items.
We do not give warranties expressed or implied with any kind of respect to any products sold on the website unless it is represented by various manufacturers of said product. In accordance, AS makes no warranty with respect to any product sold other than what is stated here.
Referencing/ Linking to this Website or Brand
Linking our website is okay, but only on terms where you do so in a fair and legal manner and will not damage or ruin our reputation or take advantage of it. You may not link our website in a way that will suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement on our part that is non-existent. We reserve the right to withdraw linking permission without notice.

All persons (including their names and images), third party trademarks and images of third party goods, services and/or locations featured on this website are in no way associated, linked or affiliated with AS, except where expressly stated. Payment & Currency
When paying for goods with Absent Society, you have the option of using: Credit/Debit Card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Microsoft Pay Afterpay. All payment options are securely processed via the respective third-parties: Stripe for credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Microsoft Pay payments, PayPal for PayPal payments, and Afterpay for Afterpay payments.
We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
If you are experiencing issues with PayPal or Afterpay, please contact those companies directly about the issue. Absent Society is not reliable or able to handle issues relating to these payment methods and we have no control over them.
In the event that you suspect you have placed a duplicate order, please email Customer Care at email@example.com immediately so that we can investigate and have the duplicate order payment reversed before it is processed. Any duplicate orders that have been shipped before Absent Society has been notified will be refunded once the order has been returned to our Returns Address.
Absent Society is not able to see your credit card information including the name, number, expiry and CVV. Absent Society is not able to see your PayPal or Afterpay account information, only the username or email address with which your account is associated.
* Afterpay is available to Australian customers only.
All prices on the Absent Society website (www.absentsociety.com.au) are displayed in either Australian Dollars (AUD), New Zealand Dollars (NZD), United States Dollars (USD), Euro (EUR) and British Pound (GBP), as specified by your selected currency option and location. Prices displayed in a particular currency will also be charged in that currency.
